Out of an ocean
you turned into a wave of salt,
rolled gentle into movement,
lifted, bruised with heavier breath,
pounded on smooth rocks.
A coastline crumbled into stars:
and while floating that nude
I have seldom danced
shivering through dark water
encumbered with nothing less.
I curled my tongue,
tasted the warm breakers
against my shallow nightmare,
dreamt of turning into salt,
dissolving in different oceans.
